Description

Digital Signature Renewal means extending the validity of the DSC. Generally in India Digital Signature certificates are issue upto 3 years validity only. If a user wants to use DSC after the expiry period, then he/she should renew his/her DSC. After renewal, the DSC becomes ready for further use. Renewal can be done for a maximum period of 3 years only.

Digital Signature Certificate Renewal Process

A user can renew his Digital Signature Certificate for up to 3 years. Renewals are available for 1-year, 2-year and 3-year validity only. Follow the process given below for DSC renewal.

  1. Select DSC type
  2. Select renewal validity
  3. Select user type
  4. Fill applicant details
  5. Click on the ‘Add to Cart’ button
  6. Go to the Cart section, then click on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button
  7. Fill out the billing address on the ‘Checkout’ page.
  8. Place your order with payment.
  9. After payment, an order will be generated with a renewal request.
  10. The renewal process is initiated at the prevailing policy.
  11. After renewal, the user can use his DSC.

Digital Signature Usage - Application of Class 3 certificate

Both Individuals and Organisations can apply for this DSC renewal. In the case of an Individual, the organisation field remains blank. While for organisations, a separate naming field is available. So both the applicant’s name and the organisation’s legal name appear in the final certificate in case of organisational DSC.

DSC Renewal Verification Process

DSC renewal may require a simple verification as per the prevailing government policy. The verification for Individual and Organisational users vary a little. Below are the steps we follow for Individual DSC renewal.

  • The applicant will provide his PAN and/or Aadhaar DSC.
  • Applicants’ mobile and email IDs will be verified by sending an OTP.
  • The applicant will complete his video verification.
  • After video verification, DSC renewal will be completed.

Organisation applicants need to provide their organisation’s documents like PAN, Registration certificate, etc to insert their organisation’s name in DSC. The process is very smooth and straightforward. We will assist all applicants in the verification process. Therefore, the applicant remains free from all hassle and stress.

Renewal Of DGFT DSC

For DGFT DSC renewal, the applicant type must be an organisation only. The IEC certificate should be available either in active or reactive condition.
