Description

Foreigner Digital Signature Certificate means a Digital Signature for Foreign Nationals. If a non-resident of India wants to register a company in India, then he/she should first apply for a DSC. Since he is a foreigner, his DSC verification will be done as a foreigner. As per their country, they provide their national ID card, passport, etc. Their DSC verification is completely different from a normal DSC. Therefore, they should place an order for this DSC.

Registering a company in India is an example of the application of Foreign DSC. Actually, there are many more practical uses of DSC even for foreigners while they do transactions in the government portals of India. Like participation in online tenders, auctions, or applying for different licenses, etc.

Foreign Nationals DSC Verification Process

A foreigner should provide a copy of their national ID card along with their passport. His/her mobile and email ID are also verified by sending an OTP. All processes are available in digital mode only. No need to submit any physical documents or visit any office. A video verification is also done to confirm users’ consent to obtain DSC.

Foreigner DSC Application Process

  • Select DSC type
  • Select DSC validity
  • Select user type
  • Fill applicant details
  • Click on the ‘Add to Cart’ button
  • Go to the Cart section, then click on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button
  • Fill out the billing address on the ‘Checkout’ page.
  • Place your order with payment.
  • After payment, an order will be generated with a verification email.
  • Applicants should reply with the required documents, such as a copy of their ID card and passport.
  • Mobile and Email verification will be done.
  • The applicant records a video to confirm his consent.
  • Once the video is approved, DSC will be ready for download.
  • Use an ePass2003 token to download the certificate.

Note: During video verification, the applicant records a short video. He/She needs to read a 2 to 3-line script containing his/her name and his consent for dsc applications. Applicants must show their original documents on camera during video recording.

Renew DSC Using Old Token#

Users can renew their digital signature and download it in their existing token. But the token should be supported for the current requirement. Now, the question is how a user can check whether their existing USB Token is supported or not?

There is a simple step to check whether your token is compatible with DSC renewal. Check the token serial no. If the initial two digits of the serial number are HS or WD, then you can use this token for renewal. Otherwise, you have to buy a new token during renewal.
